Odile Ollagnon Biography

Odile Ollagnon is a freelance French violinist, playing in both Paris and London.

Ollagnon has performed with major orchestras and on numerous recording, broadcast, and session projects, including tours and recordings with Peter Gabriel’s New Blood Orchestra. Alongside her performing career, she is regularly involved in orchestral auditions and competitions, serving as an audition panelist for the Cambridge University Musical Society.

Her orchestral career includes long-term positions with the Orchestre de Chalon-Bourgogne and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, where she served as Sub-Principal Second Violin.

Odile has held guest and trial positions with leading ensembles such as the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the English National Opera, and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

Odile received her musical training at the Conservatoires of Lyon and Boulogne-Billancourt (Paris), where she was awarded a Premier Prix à l’unanimité with congratulations, and prizes for theory and sight-reading.
